The Project:

Marinus Link is a proposed undersea and underground electricity and data interconnector between North West Tasmania and the Latrobe Valley in Victoria.

It will enable the flow of more electricity in both directions, delivering low-cost, reliable and clean energy for customers in the National Electricity Market (NEM).

Cost Time Risk provided owner project services to uplift the risk function for Marinus Link, including risk identification, package level risk profiles, facilitating risk workshops, QCRA, deployment of a corporate risk system and uplift in Risk Appetite Statement, Risk Policy and Risk Management Framework.

North West Transmission Development ~$0.9Bn

The Project:

The North West Transmission Developments project, being progressed by TasNetworks, is a once in a generation upgrade to the electricity transmission network. The upgrade is needed to support Tasmania’s ambition to become a world-leading renewable energy provider and double clean energy production by 2040.

Our Services:

Cost Time Risk provided estimating services embedded within the owners team including Total Outturn Cost estimate at a class 3 for project budgeting. Assessing bid and tender pricing against control budget to assist with identifying variances against between the tender submission and control budgets.

Snowy Hydro 2.0 ~$12Bn

The Project:

It is the largest committed renewable energy project in Australia. Snowy 2.0 will underpin the nation’s secure and stable transition to a low-carbon emissions future at the lowest cost for consumers.

The project involves linking two existing dams, Tantangara and Talbingo, through 27km of tunnels and building a new underground power station.

Water will be pumped to the upper dam when there is surplus renewable energy production and the demand for energy is low, and then released back to the lower dam to generate energy when electricity demand is high.
